$108,483.00 - $162,725.00
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Provides strategy and leadership for the design, implementation, and ongoing performance of the Supply Chain value analysis process across the UR system, including its affiliates. Drives cost savings/containment for clinical products, equipment, and services, while continuing to ensure quality of care, safety, supply chain performance/continuity of supply, and physician satisfaction. Develops and leads processes for the identification of cost saving opportunities and potential cost risks, quantification of value of such opportunities, assessment of standardization opportunities across the UR System, consideration and acceptance by clinical staff, and implementation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Designs and operationalizes, in collaboration with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and the ACMO for VA, an effective and efficient set of lean processes for consideration, acceptance, and implementation of products, equipment, and services, with emphasis on quality and cost management. Ensures the review and incorporation of evidence-based best practices on quality and delivery of patient care.
Drives, wherever possible, opportunities for reduced variation of products, equipment, and services, with the intended benefit of improving patient outcomes, leveraged spend and negotiations, continuity of supply, and inventory management.
Ensures that all facilities are actively involved in discussions and decision-making and that all requests are presented with industry published patient outcome and quality of care research, data, and benchmarks. Supports with cost analytics rooted in accepted baseline price and cost information.
Creates reporting mechanism via live or virtual presentation, email communications (push), or website/ dashboard accessibility (pull). Develop metrics and measures to ensure repeatable short- and long-term comparables, inclusion, and transparency.
Implements lean, sound processes and practices for common, tactical needs across the UR System (e.g. quality recalls, product malfunction, expired products, supply continuity issues, emergency response, etc.).
Attracts and retains talented team with balanced clinical, commercial, systems, and analytic expertise and experience. Establishes an onboarding program for value analysis staff and for new physicians. Provides ongoing mentorship and coaching with a focus on development and career enhancement.
Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures related to codes of conduct and ethics in all dealings externally with suppliers or other similar agencies, and internally with team members and other departments. Establishes and maintains internal controls and report any potential violations

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in cross-functional roles, preferably in a clinical setting and/or supply chain/purchasing with direct supplier management responsibilities, required
Master's degree preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years of direct management and/or leadership experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Leadership and collaboration in a cross-functional environment required
Communication, presentation, and negotiation required
Project management and leadership preferred
Microsoft tools and Business systems preferred
