ManpowerGroup Aerospace Design Engineer in United States

Our client, an international consulting firm, is seeking a consulting Aerospace Design Engineer to join their team. As a Design Engineer, you will be part of the Consulting Team supporting major Aerospace companies nationwide. The ideal candidate will have strong senior level Aerospace design and project skills which will align successfully in the organization. This position is indefinite W2 consulting nationwide based remotely from home with heavy travel to Aerospace clients primarily in the Western US.

Job Title: Aerospace Design Engineer

Location: Nationwide US

Pay Range: $60-$80/hr DOE plus Benefits

What’s the Job?

  • Design products by defining engineering concepts, selecting materials, and creating 3D models and 2D drawings in CATIA and AutoCAD.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development meets safety standards, regulations, schedules, and budgets.

  • Apply engineering principles to develop and optimize designs that meet performance targets, including cost, weight, and quality.

  • Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly, incorporating feedback from various disciplines.

  • Create and present design proposals, providing technical support and addressing vendor inquiries as needed.

What’s Needed?

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

  • Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, including composites forming, CNC machining, and sheet metal forming.

  • Knowledge of material properties, including metals, plastics, and composites.

  • Ability to design complex integrated kinematic assemblies.

  • Proficiency in related software, including CATIA, AutoCAD, and PLM.
