Responsibilities
Summary : *This position is a remote role*
As a Supervisor of Accounts Payable, you will lead and supervise 5 +/- remote FTE’s individual contributors' daily activities that include a variety of complex transactional accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: accounts payable and general accounting. Activities include; reconciliation of bank accounts, general and/or subsidiary ledgers, prepares journal entries, creates/processes invoices, generates payments and compiles data for monthly end of month presentations. Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve more complex problems. Ensures policies and procedures adhere to internal and external controls, and facilitate operational effectiveness and efficiency of procure to pay cycles. Supervise and coordinate performance of internal resources and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, develop, support, and inspire a hybrid (in office and/or remote) of 5+/- individual contributors
• Ensure SLA/KPIs are met and that the team is properly aligned to achieve objectives.
• Monitor team’s progress and productivity on daily, monthly, and year-end accounts payable close to ensure deadlines are met and goals and projects are on target for timely completion.
• Maintains staffing, scheduling, and distribution of assignments and projects to meet organizational and department needs.
• Oversees and ensures accuracy of daily, weekly, and monthly balancing and reconciliation.
• Resolves the most complex day-to-day issues and advises management on process/policy improvements.
• Develops training materials for processes and procedures and implements training curriculum.
• Monitors system interfaces to ensure processes are completed and coordinates with the Digital team on special projects, such as researching and resolving issues.
• Understanding of business processes and impact of such processes on accounting processes/procedures, including identifying control risks
• Develops and recommends improvements for processes.
• Implements policies and procedures and recommends innovative approaches to drive continuous improvements.
• May assume other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills

• Knowledge of transactional accounting processes and procedures, procure to Pay practices including; laws and regulations, best practice processes and tools etc.
• Self-directed individual with ability to manage ambiguity and adapts readily and easily to changes in priorities and business conditions
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle pressure well, be self-motivated and detail oriented
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity and/or utilization of systems such as; JD Edwards, Great Plains, or other ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning system), Blackline reconciliation and task management tools, Report writing systems such as PowerBi or Looker
Physical Role Requirements:
Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for extended periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands, and fingers while picking, pinching, and typing during your normal working environment.
Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements:
High school diploma required, Bachelors or Associate Degree in Accounting or related field preferred and/or Certification by an accredited organization i.e., IOFM
Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role):
4+ years supervising people in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payables, accounts receivable, or other related financial areas and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other/State Specific
This role pays between $51,100 to $76,700 and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
