3D Modeling and Animation Designer

The purpose of the3D Modeling and Animation Designeris to transform complex CAD designs into high-quality 3D models and animations for use in interactive product configurators, visualizers, and marketing materials. This role bridges engineering and design by ensuring that product visuals are accurate, optimized, and engaging. The candidate will contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team, delivering assets on aggressive timelines while maintaining high standards for technical precision and creative presentation. They will play a critical role in enhancing the customer experience and supporting project success through advanced 3D modeling, rendering, and animation expertise.
Our "Marketing" department in "xx location" is now looking for a 3D Modeling and Animation Designer.
Key Duties:
3D Modeling, Animation, Rendering
Quickly and accurately convert CAD files (e.g., STEP, IGES, STL) into high-quality 3D models and animations compatible with configurators and visualizers.
Ensure 3D models are optimized for performance and rendering without compromising visual quality.
Develop animated sequences to showcase product functionality, features, or assembly processes for use in marketing, training, and product configurators.
Product Visualization Development & Integration:
Create photorealistic 3D renderings and animations optimized for interactive configurators, maintaining high standards for detail, material accuracy, and performance.
Apply textures (developed organically and/or applied from third party source files from online repositories), materials, and lighting to create photorealistic renderings of products for use in configurators.
Maintain consistency in color, finish, and detail to ensure product accuracy.
Develop 3D assets that integrate seamlessly with configurator tools or platforms
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with software engineers to test and implement the 3D models into the configurator environment.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to understand product features and visualization needs.
Participate in team meetings to gather requirements and provide input on configurator development.
Quality Assurance and Optimization:
Conduct regular reviews to ensure 3D models align with product specifications and visual expectations.
Optimize models for performance in interactive visualizers, ensuring fast load times and smooth user interactions.
Propose enhancements to improve the configurator experience and streamline workflows.
Authority & Responsibilities:
Convert CAD files into high-quality 3D models and animations for configurators and visualizers.
Manage file format compatibility and optimize models for performance and rendering.
Create animated sequences to demonstrate product features, functionality, and assembly processes.
Develop photorealistic renderings and animations with accurate textures, materials, and lighting.
Ensure product accuracy in visual details like color, finish, and material representation.
Integrate 3D assets seamlessly with visualization platforms (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Key Shot).
Work with software engineers to implement models into interactive environments.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to understand project requirements.
Provide input and feedback during team meetings for configurator development.
Conduct reviews to ensure models meet product specifications and visual standards.
Optimize assets for performance in configurators, ensuring smooth user experiences.
Propose workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and user interaction.
Stay up to date on the latest trends and tools in 3D modeling, rendering, animation and product visualization.

Your Background
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Computer Graphics, Animation or A related field combining engineering, design, or visualization.
Equivalent professional experience in 3D modeling, CAD, or animation may be considered in place of formal education.
