Summer interns at The Community Solution will have the opportunity to build valuable skills while gaining exposure to a variety of department functions, our partner colleges, and our unique model of support. As an intern with The Community Solution, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment, working closely with leaders and professionals across multiple areas to achieve both departmental and organizational goals.
Our program is designed to offer hands-on experience that will give you a comprehensive understanding of higher education operations. Interns will participate in high-impact projects, contribute to real-world solutions, and develop leadership skills that will enhance their future career success.
We are currently accepting applications for our 2025 Summer Internship Program in the following operational areas:
Admissions & Enrollment Services – Support admissions operations, assist with training initiatives, and contribute to analytical insights and metrics to optimize enrollment processes.
Academic Development – Assist in academic program development and implementation, support institutional research, and contribute to the assessment of educational effectiveness.
Student Finance – Help manage financial aid processes, ensure compliance, and gain exposure to eligibility requirements and regulations.
Marketing – Work on brand management, digital content development, and performance analysis of marketing campaigns.
Human Resources – Contribute to employee program development , assist with employee benefits programs, and gain experience with HR information systems.
Information Technology – Support IT services, application management, and infrastructure needs. Gain exposure to technology solutions that support educational systems.
Chancellor’s Office – Support strategic initiatives, board relations, and organizational leadership. Get involved in high-level planning and communication efforts.
Accounting & Finance – Assist with accounting functions, financial analysis, treasury operations, and advancement administration.
Legal – Contribute to legal and compliance best practices, research regulatory requirements, and assist with risk management efforts.
Position Requirements:
Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
Able to build and maintain positive relationships with peers, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
Critical thinker who is eager to contribute and make a positive impact in higher education and the nonprofit sector.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a remote, virtual work environment.
Position Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s degree program and in good academic standing.
An interest in nonprofit organizations, higher education, or community-focused work is preferred, but not required .
Previous internship or work experience in relevant fields (e.g., marketing, finance, human resources, etc.) is a plus, but not mandatory.
Open to diverse perspectives and committed to fostering inclusive, equitable environments.

Interns will connect with fellow participants and leaders through online collaboration tools, ensuring a meaningful and cohesive experience. At the end of the program , interns will present their projects to organizational leadership, providing you with an opportunity to showcase your work and receive valuable feedback. Throughout the program, weekly engagement sessions will be held by various departmental leaders and representatives, offering additional learning and networking opportunities.

This opportunity is budgeted at $20.00 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
