Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug s Principal Software Developer, NetSuite EPM

Oracle NetSuite is looking for a Principal Software Developer to join our product development team for NetSuite EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) products and help us make amazing software that delights our customers. Our team focuses on business applications built on the Oracle EPM platform for NetSuite customers. We apply our deep understanding of business planning and budgeting challenges to enable organizations to efficiently and effectively plan, budget, forecast, and respond to rapidly changing business conditions.

You must be hard-working, a self-starter but also a team player, a fast learner, results-oriented, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. You will help design, build, optimize, and maintain EPM product modules using the full range of artifacts. Your daily responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality and performant features and enhancements and resolve defects based on priorities as set by product management and engineering

  • Focus will be building sound EPM modules and Groovy development but will also require Essbase

  • Collaborate with the engineering team on process improvements and QA on test plans and test automation

  • Contribute to the technical analysis of functional requirements and make recommendations

  • Create and maintain application build pipelines

  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies with product management and engineering

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent Accounting or Finance knowledge

  • Minimum 10 years in software development in an individual contributor role

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing with Groovy, Essbase, and working with REST APIs

  • Experience with or strong interest in learning financial planning software and specifically Oracle EPM Cloud Planning

  • Organized and reliable, attentive to detail, and able to efficiently manage multiple tasks

  • High level of comfort with ambiguity; ability to structure unstructured problems and resolve them quickly and efficiently

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile/Scrum

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with creating applications in Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Analysis systems with experience creating applications in EPM Cloud Planning, E/PBCS, on-premise Hyperion Planning and/or Essbase preferred

  • Experience developing Groovy business rules in EPM Cloud Planning

  • Experience developing in Java and working with REST APIsoftware programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
