Carsome Head of Finance, Thailand in Thailand

About You

The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial related activities and operations of the company, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, risk management, and leadership of the finance team. The Head of Finance will work closely with regional and senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.

Your-Day-To-Day

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the company's strategic objectives.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and senior management for informed decision-making.

  • Lead the financial forecasting, planning, and analysis processes.

Financial Management, Reporting & Tax Compliance

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax etc).

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax documents and reports.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Implement effective cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company's financial stability.

Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage financial and business risks to the organization.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and internal controls.

  • Ensure the company has adequate insurance coverage and complies with all legal and regulatory requirement.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Set performance goals and provide regular feedback and evaluations.

  • Ensure the finance team has the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

  • Represent the company in financial discussions and negotiations with external parties.

  • Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Systems & Processes

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.

  • Ensure financial processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial operations and reporting.

Your-Know-How

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAEW) preferred.

  • Minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in finance, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing finance teams.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, advanced Excel skills).

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
