Role Overview
As the Vice President of IT Planning Team at Systems Office for Asia (ASO), you will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction of our IT initiatives. This role involves leading planning initiatives, improving processes, and collaborating with professionals across the APAC region. Your leadership will help achieve our business goals and improve operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities
Business Plan Development
Create and promote comprehensive business plans and strategies, ensuring they are effectively communicated and adopted across the organization.
Collaborate with stakeholders from various regions and departments, including the Head Office, to ensure cohesive strategy development and execution.
Strategic IT Planning and Execution
In collaboration with SMEs, propose and evaluate innovative IT initiatives.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to ensure the feasibility and alignment of these initiatives with business needs.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) of ASO to track the progress and success of IT initiatives.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Generate monthly IT reporting and forecasting for submission to the Head Office, and assist in creating reports and presentation materials for executive meetings.
Stakeholder Communication
Act as a liaison between the IT Planning Team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Manage IT-related meetings and committees, leading and coordinating IT strategies across APAC managements.
Cost Optimization
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, including offshoring and other efficiency measures, to enhance operational effectiveness.
Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.
Strategic Partnership and Ad-hoc Support
Act as a strategic partner to management, providing proactive support in ad-hoc tasks.
Support management in evaluating the current organizational framework and proposing improvements.
Ensure timely and effective responses to emerging issues, contributing to the overall strategic direction of ASO.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead and mentor a small team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT planning, including 3 years in strategic planning within the business domain with experience in IT initiatives and collaborated with IT departments.
Experience in IT planning methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience in developing and promoting business plans and strategies, with experience in coordinating with stakeholders from other regions and departments.
Proven track record in developing and promoting business plans and strategies, with experience in coordinating with stakeholders from other regions and departments.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently.
Fast learner with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Familiarity with IT strategy and the implementation of new technologies is preferred.
