Google Technical Program Manager, Data Center Design in Singapore

Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management, influencing across a cross-functional organization.

  • Experience with program management working in building design or infrastructure deployments.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, RAA License, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent.

  • Experience in construction project management within data centers.

  • Experience in product development.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

  • Oversee development of separate data center design packages including the permit packages, specifications, technical evaluations, and construction drawings.

  • Identify technical issues and work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, mitigation strategies, and manage cost and schedule for project designs.

  • Lead, organize, and manage program activities that drive business outcomes while developing systems to identify improvements and drive future optimizations, including change management and performance metrics.

  • Define and address undefined cross-functional challenges separately, utilizing existing protocols including program management methodologies to monitor and manage programs and stakeholders.

  • Use separate acumen to adjust programs effectively while navigating changing circumstances across multiple functional areas.
