Emerson Regional Senior/Sales Engineer in Singapore

Job Summary:

If you are looking to grow your career in the field of Regional Sales, then this opportunity is for you! This Regional Sales Engineer will manage multiple territories/ countries in Southeast Asia, working directly with our channel partners. You will have direct responsibility for territory sales targets, building and managing a strong opportunity funnel to deliver these targets, and reporting responsibilities. You will work with the team to implement and drive product and sales strategies across the channel network, and with the Sales team to drive preference for EMERSON Actuators.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Expected activities include, but will not be limited to:

  • Set yearly and monthly financial goals for Distribution Channels and help them exceed those goals. Track and Report Monthly Performance.

  • Provide technical support to internal sales teams as well as customers by reviewing applications and specifying appropriate actuators.

  • Identify White Space in assigned territories and then develop channel plan to capture White Space opportunity.

  • Collaborate with Regional Sales and Project Pursuit leaders to identify and win projects.

  • Work closely with the product marketing team on new market developments and product updates.

  • Become an expert on the products and territories represented.

  • Provide sales and product training for the Distribution channels, End Users, EPCs to drive preference.

  • Develop, record and present insights on the Asia Pacific Actuation market to regional and global management including but not limited to competitors, pricing, product gaps etc.

  • Have full ownership of measuring, tracking and reporting progress for overall business for territories/countries managed.

Who You Are:

You take constructive action to navigate difficulties or obstacles. You make significant progress and remain calm and composed, even when things are uncertain. You deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering degree with minimum 1 year of sales experience in valve Actuation or Instrumentation and Control systems or related industry.

  • Ability to analyze complex situations and ability to define and clearly articulate a plan of action.

  • An aptitude in solution-based selling (not price negotiation only) is a must.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Customer-focused person with sales and business development competencies.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Valve Automation / Actuation technologies or related industries.

  • Solid understanding of the different stakeholders EPCs, OEMs, Competition as well as Industry insights.
