We are responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Within CO+I, the strategic Supply Chain team is responsible for establishing a supply chain that can meet the ever-growing growth of the Microsoft Cloud and our customers. We support a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-billion, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects and operations of those assets. We are looking to fill a critical role of Power Substation Contracts Manager, which will focus on sourcing and contracting with General Contractors for successful delivery of Microsoft Power Substation and off-site cabling projects across APAC.
Responsibilities
Category Strategy : Develop and maintain a strategic vision for Power Infrastructure - Substation and Off-site cabling projects within the APAC region, utilizing business intelligence to ensure alignment with global strategies and industry standards.
Strategic Sourcing : Create and align sourcing strategies and implement procurement plans that continuously evaluate and develop a strong general contractor supplier base for Power Substations and Off-site cabling projects across APAC. Focus on capability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance to effectively deliver against project goals and budget constraints.
Supplier Selection : Lead RFP for General Contractor and Equipment Supplier selection process in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring they meet Microsoft’s business objectives and adherence to procurement policies and business ethics.
Performance Management : Implement engagement programs to enhance supplier performance, manage project delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle, and ensure successful delivery of contract obligations and business objectives.
Continuous Improvement : Continuously seek opportunities to streamline procurement processes, leveraging data analytics to enhance system efficiency and reporting capabilities.

Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management. Preferred Electrical / Mechanical Engineering background.
2) Must have at least 8+ years of notable experience working in Construction / EPC industry on medium to large scale projects with Supply Chain Management, Commercial Negotiations/Contracting and/or project management responsibilities.
3) Power Infrastructure development with Substations and Offsite Cabling works project experience is an absolute requirement for this role.
4) Preferred experience in the Data Center / Infrastructure / Power / Oil & Gas industry managing large capital projects and contracts management.
5) Experience in more key construction categories including Architect / Engineering consultancy, Infrastructure Equipment and construction services would be of benefit too.
