Neuberger Berman Operations Analyst in Singapore
Responsibilities:
Support of day-to-day corporate action event processing, including
The analysis and organization of corporate action announcement data received from data vendors, custodian banks, trustees, information agents, exchanges, and regulatory agencies
The creation and follow-up of corporate action event notifications distributed internally across the firm (Portfolio Managers, Traders, Analysts, Operation groups)
The processing and reconciliation of corporate action entitlements across the trading and portfolio accounting platforms
Operating to the highest standards of risk mitigation
Work in close coordination with regional Ops teams to ensure efficiency in established ‘follow the sun’ operating model for corporate action processes
Point of contact and/or escalation for the business, custodian banks, technology and other support teams for queries related to corporate actions
Ensure Corporate Actions policies and procedures are documented and adhered to
Ancillary support of Security Master functions, including:
set up, maintenance and review of securities in trading and accounting systems
Identify and manage the resolution of data quality issues, recommending appropriate corrective action.
Timely escalation of issues and resolution to Senior Management.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of corporate actions experience
Good understanding of corporate action events and operational processes
Knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income
Understanding of data management and data platforms
Basic knowledge of daily reconciliation of cash transaction and balances of previous business day and position reconciliation of Equity and Fixed Income accounts is preferred
Ability to gain a thorough understanding of the business’s products, systems, trading strategies and client specific needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Client Service, Operations, Custodian Banks, and Trustees
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Able to work in a team environment while taking individual responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work
Strong organizational and analytical skills along with the ability to problem-solve with a sensitivity to deadlines
Self-starter and motivated
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills using Excel (formulas, macros, etc.)
Proficiency with Aladdin platform would be preferred but not a must
