The position of Messaging Team Lead integrates our global Digital Workplace team inside IT Operations area. The role includes leading a small team of highly skilled engineers, and therefore act as an escalation point for all matters regarding to Messaging. It is also expected that this person actively participates in project related work, been seen as a subject matter expert in all matters related to Messaging, eventually supporting the Architecture team in technical decisions.

The position requires a thorough technical knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online, since he will be accounted for timely resolution of incidents, proactive identify areas of improvement and ensure the proper documentation and training is available to all stakeholders.

Key r esponsibilities and authority

  • Lead and manage people including regular 1:1 sessions, appraisals, and coaching.

  • Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with internal teams, and company-approved vendors.

  • Support communication with resellers and vendors.

  • Meet with suitable vendors to assess their products.

  • Follow Corporate Compliance and enforce defined policies ensuring best practices.

  • Identify and mitigatepotential risks.

  • Licensing governance related to area of expertise.

  • Tracking contract renewal dates and support renewal processes.

  • Ensure Messaging team SLAs are achieved as defined by ITSM Governance Team.

  • Provide the necessary report (KPI) to DW Manager

  • Identify improvements to the current architecture and services.

  • Participate in project delivery.

  • Experience troubleshooting Messaging problems (global organizational and technical level)

  • Experience in end-to-end troubleshooting of messaging flows.

  • Knowledge in licensing of major vendors (Microsoft, Zoom, etc...).

  • Knowledge of compliance reporting

  • Experience with service administration portals for assigning licenses and monitoring installed software.

  • Experience in auditing from vendors.

  • Preferred knowledge on: Exchange, Exchange Online, Postfix, Postmark, SPF, DMARC and DKIM, MS Teams, MS Teams Voice, ITIL, Service Now, Confluence and Jira.

  • Experience with SAP preferred.

  • Good stakeholder engagement and management skills

  • Goodcustomer and business focus

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Problem-solving abilities to see issues through to resolution.

  • Ability to manage conflict and understand others.

  • English advanced level, both written and spoken Education / Qualifications Identify the essential qualifications, education, and certifications necessary for success in the role.

  • UnderGrad/Graduate degree in IT or equivalent experience in Microsoft Messaging solutions.

  • Ideally formal education and certification in Microsoft Exchange,Microsoft Teams Voice, ServiceNow modules and associated business processes (ITIL, PMP)
