Your day to day

We are looking for a dynamic Director of Human Resources , who will oversee all people programs fostering a culture of inclusivity and belonging. Working closely and collaboratively with the Executive Team to implement process and programs to drive achievement of service performance and satisfaction targets whilst ensuring a harmonious working environment amongst a multicultural team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create programs to foster a positive work environment for all employees.

  • Support and administer an annual team member satisfaction survey.

  • Leading, educating and training the wider team and General Manager on people issues and HR disciplines to enhance performance.

  • Overseeing day-to-day HR management, reporting and filing and identifying process areas for attention.

  • Ensure hiring standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed

  • Build great relations with outside contacts

  • Develop creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide guests with a unique experience

  • Work with department managers to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience

  • Identifying and analysing the local market to ensure our own offering remains competitive

  • Building a positive work environment for all IHG colleagues throughout their career with us – from onboarding, to training and promotions, through to exit

  • Enhancing our hotels’ reputation in the local community and beyond, and promoting team member involvement in the local community

What we need from you

  • For you to be the ideal candidate, you should have the following:

  • Min. 8 years’ of related experience in Human Resources

  • Supervisory experience also preferred

  • Pre-opening experience preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality to the extent possible in all HR related matters

  • Must read, write and speak English. A 2nd Asian language is an advantage
