Oracle Performance Test Engineer in Philippines

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop performance test plans, scenarios, and scripts using Java-based testing frameworks.

  • Execute performance tests, analyze test results, and identify performance bottlenecks and issues.

  • Work closely with development and operations teams to diagnose and resolve performance issues.

  • Develop and maintain automated performance test suites.

  • Support other colleagues using our test framework though community support and contributing to documentation.

  • Monitor and analyze application performance in pre-production environments to identify areas for improvement.

  • Generate comprehensive performance test reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Continuously enhance and optimize performance testing processes and tools.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in performance testing and Java development.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in performance testing with a strong focus on Java applications.

  • Proficiency in Java programming and Java-based performance testing frameworks (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).

  • Experience with Selenium for test automation.

  • Proficiency in Mocha for JavaScript/TypeScript testing.

  • Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript and TypeScript.

  • Strong understanding of HTTP.

  • Familiarity with React is a plus.

  • Experience with profiling and monitoring tools (e.g., VisualVM, JProfiler, Dynatrace, New Relic).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with performance testing methodologies and best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests in build processes is a plus.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
