IHG F&B Assistant| Holiday Inn Resort| Kathmandu Budhanilkantha in Nepal
As Food and Beverage Assistant (Multi-Skilled) you are responsible for serving guests in the restaurants/outlets but not limited to providing the highest standard of service at all times, keep assigned service stations well stocked, organized and clean in accordance to company policy and standards, provide high standard service at all times, to deal with guest complaints and comments in an efficient and timely manner and to report any issues to his/her Superior.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
To check in for duty according to schedule and to serve in the restaurants, ensuring that the service for their station meets the expectations of the guests and meets the standards set by the company
To provide the same standard of service for both open seating and assigned seating
To act as liaison between the guests and the management in regards with any problems in their stations
To ensure the best possible dining experience for all guests and to provide special attention to guests with special needs, dietary requirements and allergic conditions
To follow work schedules, section plans and rotations and to do any additional duties as scheduled by the superior and as required
To ensure a smooth and efficient service during meal hours through constant communication with the guests and the kitchen
To ensure that all equipment is properly and securely stored away when not on duty
To report work orders to superiors when deficiencies are noted or when maintenance is required and to follow up on the work orders in a timely manner
Should be able to prepare beverages when required and provide service in the floor as per business need
To adhere to all company policies and procedures, manuals and directives
To keep crockery and glassware breakages to a minimum
To ensure that company property is maintained properly and treated with respect at all times.
To practice safe lifting techniques at all times
To attend meetings within the Food and Beverage team on a daily basis
To constantly communicate with all the service team and kitchen
Wears uniform with pride and honor
Any other duties as assigned by the management
What we need from you:
● Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
● Diploma in Hospitality Management or relevant certification
- Intermediate in MS Office packages
● 2+ years total experience as Food and Beverage Assistant /Waiter/waitress in any hotel properties
- Should have proper knowledge regrading mocktails, cocktails, liquors, wines and other beverages
● Must be fluent in written and spoken English
● Must speak local language(s)
