Red Hat Senior Middleware Consultant in Mexico

Job Summary

The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Middleware Consultant with significant experience in JEE to join us in Mexico and use our unique middleware applications capabilities for DevOps, continuous integration (CI), and cloud-based development consulting projects. In this role, you will participate in the customer enterprise development by helping make our solutions both practical and workable for customer businesses. You’ll lead the on-site implementation of Red Hat’s technologies like Red Hat Middleware, Red Hat JBoss Fuse, Red Hat CloudForms, and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

As a Middleware Consultant, you’ll work to gain an understanding of the infrastructure and business needs of our customers, make recommendations that will lead to the resolution of their problems, and help them make strategic decisions. You’ll then build enterprise applications and capabilities around cloud technologies to streamline development and allow for continuous feature release of applications. This multi-faceted consulting and technology role is a great opportunity for you, if you’re passionate about learning new offerings and technologies and expanding your core base of expertise, while traveling to customer sites promoting Red Hat’s solutions. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to consultants with less experience in order to achieve set goals

  • Help with the implementation of different projects on the scope

  • Address the middleware development, focusing on microservices and APIs

  • Develop effective and efficient solutions that provide desired performance

  • Coordinate the workflow among middleware development teams, users, and yourself

  • Analyze and fix existing code base to address new requirements

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience working as a middleware consultant

  • Experience with microservices environments

  • Experience working in networking for telco

  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform configuration, implementation, and support

  • Experience managing APIs, especially Red Hat 3scale API Management

  • Experience with software containers and implementing them

  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Observer

  • Experience with Java’s Spring Framework, Quarkus and Spring Boot

  • Knowledge of the Screen Saver and Apache Camel frameworks or an equivalent

  • Availability to travel from 25% up to 50% of the time, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines

  • Upper intermediate-advanced verbal, written, and reading language skills in English

  • Ability to work in a high-performance and fast-paced environment

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with OpenShift virtualization

  • Knowledge of 4G and 5G technology

  • Knowledge of Cloud-native Network Function (CNF) testing
