Ford Motor Company Business Analyst – Ford Pro Insure in Mexico

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in the Auto/Commercial Auto Insurance domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SAAS platforms and experience working in the insurance industry. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, identifying and recommending solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement changes.

This position reports to Engineering Manager of Ford Pro Insure.

  • Analyze business requirements related to Auto/Commercial Auto Insurance domain and recommend solutions to meet business objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize requirements and ensure solutions are aligned with overall business strategy.

  • Participate in requirements gathering, design, and testing phases of the software development life cycle.

  • Develop detailed business requirements documentation, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and focus groups to gather requirements and feedback.

  • Facilitate discussions with business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and ensure that solutions are feasible.

  • Work with development teams to ensure solutions meet requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Assist in the testing and validation of solutions to ensure they meet business and technical requirements.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to optimize workflows.

  • P&C Insurance industry experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Auto/Commercial Auto Insurance domain.

  • Strong understanding of SAAS platforms and experience working with cloud-based software solutions.

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

  • Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Knowledge of underwriting principles and practices, including risk assessment, pricing, and policy issuance.

  • Familiarity with insurance products and coverages, including liability, property damage, bodily injury, and collision.

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the insurance industry, including state and federal regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

  • Ability to interpret and analyze insurance data, such as loss ratios, claim frequency, and severity, to identify trends and patterns and recommend solutions.

  • Knowledge of claims management processes, including claim reporting, investigation, settlement, and litigation management.

  • Familiarity with insurance rating systems and methodologies, including rating algorithms, factors, and variables.

  • Experience working with insurance brokers, agents, and carriers, and an understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the insurance value chain.

  • Understanding insurance industry trends and emerging technologies, such as telematics, artificial intelligence, and their potential impact on the insurance business model.

  • Past experience integrating the packaged solution with third parties like Origami/DuckCreek/Guideware preferred.
