Vectrus Audio Visual Supervisor in Kuwait

Overview

This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP

Responsible for the technical and operational functions of the Audio Visual Department. Provides management, organization, and execution of the Information Management Department policies, procedures, goals, objectives and quality initiatives. Other duties may be required as directed by the Information Management Director.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Assist Audio Visual (AV) Manager with monitoring the technical, operational, and administrative responsibilities of the Audio Visual Department.

  • Interfaces with designated government representatives and/or other contractor elements to assure smooth operations and compliance with government directives, standards, and needs.

  • Oversees property management of the AV property hand receipt, performs cyclical and annual property audits, and effectively managing AV sub hand receipts.

  • Conducts Quality audits with Vectrus Quality Assurance department as well as with external auditing agencies

  • Assist AV Supervisor in developing and managing Internal Operating Procedures to assure branch compliance with contractual requirements and commitments.

  • Develops policies and procedures to improve maintenance, testing techniques, and operational characteristics of the branch to improve operations.

  • Assist AV Manager in developing and ensuring branch policies and procedures are followed to maintain compliance with Vectrus Quality Objectives.

  • Performs weekly vehicle damage / safety inspections and performs weekly audit of vehicle utilization logs; ensures IMD Transportation plan is adhered to by all AV team members

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: One-Year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or business related discipline or a combination of equivalent education and/or on-the-job experience

  • Formal training in basic electronics repair desired

  • Certification from professional audio visual organizations and/or AV/networking equipment providers highly desired

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must meet requirements outlined in AR 25-2 for NIPRNET access

  • Must be able to obtain a Kuwait driver’s license

  • Must have Customer service, DOD Information Assurance Awareness and Cross Domain Violation Training

  • Clearances:

  • Must maintain a valid Secret clearance.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing military and/or civilian Information Technology infrastructures to include engineering, project management, deployment, and maintenance of complex voice, data, visual and radio communications infrastructures.

  • Knowledge of basic communications and electronics theory; satellite, wireless and data communications; and CATV/broadband communications basics

  • Knowledgeable in US and International Telecommunication and Networking practices and procedures; to include, but not be exclusive of, EIA/TIA, International Standards Organization (ISO), and Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI).

  • Working knowledge of Video Teleconferencing equipment (Tandberg), Portable SIPR and NIPR VTC equipment (DLP and LCD projectors etc.), Sat Link, Spectrum Analyzer, Giant Voice and Audio Visual software/hardware is preferred.

  • Customer service background and Management experience required.

  • Skills:

  • Must possess a professional demeanor; work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and other supervisory levels of military and civilian management; customer service training;

  • Must have the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment; collaborative work style that will foster cooperation and teamwork;

  • Work independently with little or no supervision

  • Possess high-level organizational and planning skills, possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written

  • Must possess an advanced level of computer skills in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Must have the ability to analyze and solve problems

  • Must have good listening, verbal and written presentation skills

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages an area of up to 60 employees with up to 3 direct reports.

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).

  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
