Hyatt Events Planning Manager in South Korea
Description:
Assist with the development, maintenance and update of a detailed Department Operations Manual if necessaryEnsure that an efficient and accurate filing system, in both manually as well as electronically is maintained at all the times.
Handle guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found.
Ensure that the necessary follow-up is conducted in a timely manner.
Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Achieve the monthly and annual Departmental target contributing to the total Sales revenue.
Develop and review the Departmental Business Plan which is linked to the Sales & Marketing and Hotel’s Annual Business Plan.
Conduct extensive competitor research and maintain excellent Product Knowledge of the Hotel.
Constantly monitor and evaluate local, national and international market trends, and the competitor hotels’ sales initiatives, in order to make sure the hotel’s sales remain competitive and cutting edge.
Spend time in each function / event to ensure that the function / event is managed well by the Conferences and Banquets team and functions to the fullest expectations.
Meet and greet VIP guest upon arrival.
Ensure all employees maintain an updated awareness of Hotel product knowledge, current promotion, policy changes and appropriate internal communication.
Assist in the recruitment and selection of Convention Services employees if required.
Adhere to hotel guidelines when recruiting and use a competency-based approach to selecting employees.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience
Well Organized, with good planning and follow-up skills
Knowledgeabel in S&M, Rooms, Catering, F&B
Good Communicator with Excellent presentation, verbal, written and people skills
Fluent in English, Fluency in an additional language preferred.
