Emerson Supply Chain Staff in Japan

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Place purchase orders in a timely fashion for parts and product from domestic and overseas vendors.

  • Perform follow-up on overdue purchase orders and connect with planning team about vendor's shipping schedule.

  • Negotiate favorable price, delivery, terms and shipping with vendors based on items and services specifications.

  • Implement reschedule of material deliveries as needed.

  • Process all vendor returns in an efficient and timely fashion.

  • Closely work with different vendors about order discrepancies on price, quantity, and other aspects.

You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.

You have a sophisticated style seen as being direct and candid.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant economic field

  • Experience in purchasing especially with regard to mechanical/electrical products

  • Experience in purchasing plan and inventory management

  • Negotiation skill with vendors

  • Advanced English skill

  • Drive license in Japan

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Strong computer proficiency

  • Ability of understanding drawings

  • Experience in developing a team
