As Statistical Modeler II within our Statistical Modeling & Simulation CoE Team , you’ll develop and utilize advanced statistical and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) models to conduct clinical trial modeling and simulations under some supervision of a senior statistician and/or team leader.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Implement statistical and AI/ML algorithms for clinical study design optimization and decision making.

  • Work with machine learning frameworks and tools to develop predictive models for clinical endpoints.

  • Work with real world data and apply advanced sampling methods for clinical trial simulation with realistic patient population.

  • Explore causal inference methods that leverage AI/ML for treatment effect estimation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex data, analytics requirements and objectives.

  • Stay current on advancements in AI/ML for clinical development.

  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff.

About you

  • Experience: Experiences of statistical modeling and simulations and statistical tool development.

  • Soft skills: Broad knowledge/experience of handling complex statistical or AI/ML models or large datasets, utilizing parallel computing and cloud computing platforms.

  • Technical skills: Excellent R programming skills are required. Experience with Python, Julia or other computational languages is a plus.

  • Good experience using version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub).

  • Good understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques. Knowledge about clinical trial design is a plus.

  • Education: PhD/MS in statistics, computer science, mathematics or related discipline

  • Languages: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in oral and written English.
