Qualifications:

The Senior Test Engineer is a position responsible for the Software Quality Assurance, implementing new and existing Quality Assurance initiatives, and will be instrumental in implementing QA processes & test methods

• Effective at quickly understanding technology and explaining it in non-technical terms.

• Testing entire systems as per test strategy and test plan documents.

• Implement the design & execute testing process for a testing engagement.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

• Ensure the quality of testing documents, test cases, test matrix, and bug reporting.

• Deep database (RDBMS) technology understanding with hands on experience in SQL.

• The ideal candidate will have excellent English communication skills, software testing experience, deep understanding of formal QA tools, methodology/processes.

Position Description & Responsibilities:

• The QA executes the test strategy He/ She works closely with the QA Leads/ manager development team to meet the quality objectives.

• Execute the design principles for QA efforts and Performance testing.

• Implement the design, execute, and maintain the test automation framework – Good to have.

• Execute reusable testing solutions meeting quality benchmark.

• Ability to identify new automation opportunities – Good to have.

• Contribute to managing of test environments.

• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information.

• Keep current with advances in testing methodologies and tools.

• Research, evaluation, and deployment of new test tools.

• Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration software.

Qualification Required Skills/Competencies:

• QA professional with 3 to 5 years software industry and management experience

• 4 + years Manual/ test automation experience. Demonstrated. Experience in selecting, designing, and implementing testing frameworks.

• JIRA, Confluence

• Expertise with continuous integration e.g.) Jenkins

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with specific experience and demonstrable success with the full software development lifecycle; and using the Agile Development processes.

• Experience testing entire systems, with capability to understand details mixed technologies.

• Co-ordinating with the Subject Matter Experts andparticipating in knowledge transition sessions

• Self-motivated and ability to work on his/her individual capacity

• Knowledge and understanding of insurance domain is good to have

• Exposure to frameworks like BDD/TDD is preferred.

• Experience working in a SAFe Agile methodology is a plus

• JIRA experience is a plus
