Oracle Senior Cloud Solution Engineer in India

Job Description

Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.

Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions. May work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Further builds business and technical acumen.

Minimum qualifications include: 5 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 25% international and domestic.

Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 5 years technical experience. Expertise in system and application design; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments.

Responsibilities

The role of the Cloud Engineer/ Cloud Architect is to partner with customer through his cloud journey – use case identification, technical qualification, advising on solution architecture and support in implementations. The Cloud Engineer is expected to work closely with the sales and product teams, own the solution opportunity from a technical perspective, engage with customers towards successful adoption.

The responsibilities related to this role are listed below:

  • Formulate and lead the cloud solutioning engagement with potential and existing customers

  • Help customer organizations on best practices around building cloud-based applications

  • Lead technical activity to prospective clients and customers; Develop prototypes and demonstrations

  • Provide sizing and capacity estimation; assist in developing cost benefit cases

  • Execute a strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

  • Be an advocate for OCI offerings and help solve business problems. Build relationships with technical stakeholders in customer community

  • Drive complex cloud engagements across various customer segments – startups as well as enterprise accounts

  • Drive activities to increase awareness, demand and adoption of Oracle IaaS and PaaS portfolio of services

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience working in startups, ecommerce, IT or consulting organization, of which at least 5 years of experience designing and implementing cloud projects. Hands-on experience is a must.

  • Professional experience working on OCI/ AWS/ Azure/ GCP. Preferably with Certifications such as Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on OCI or AWS or Google Cloud

  • Experience on using cloud native technologies to build applications. Strong understanding of Serverless Computing. DevOps exposure and knowledge of one or more tools such as Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible

  • Proven experience of using SQL & NoSQL datastores

  • Solid track record of implementing solutions using Kubernetes, Container Orchestration technologies

  • Experience in implementing solutions using flavors of Linux operating systems, load balancers, HA/DR & storage architectures

  • Experience in deploying Virtualization solutions (such as VMware) for enterprise customers.
