BlackBox Senior Associate - Indirect Taxation in India
Black Box Limited, India looking to recruit an Senior Associate - Indirect Tax for its Global - Indirect Tax Team based at Gurugram, Haryana.
Selected applicant will be reporting to the Vice President - Indirect Tax & Customs (Global Operations), this is a really interesting and varied role with a healthy balance of GST/VAT technical compliance and advisory work.
The successful applicant will work for Global – Indirect Tax & Customs at Corporate Indirect Tax Team. Initial focus will be on Indirect tax & Customs affairs pertaining to Europe, Philippines, Singapore, UAE, Kenya, Bangladesh, China, New Zealand, Australia and Americas.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Manage the operational indirect taxation compliance for Europe, Philippines, Singapore, UAE, Kenya, Bangladesh, China, New Zealand, Australia and Americas. Deal with internal teams for their day to day VAT/GST queries and miscellaneous VAT/GST matters.
• Indirect Tax MIS (Statutory Compliance MIS, Litigation Tracker, Indirect Tax Refund Tracker, Black Box Tax Journal, Black Box Indirect SOP etc.)
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT/GST returns. The candidate will be required to work with Senior Associate – Finance as peer for the day-to-day management of such activities.
• Support Vice President - Indirect Tax & Customs (Global Operations) to enhance the control environment.
• Working closely with members of the corporate finance team/operations team.
• Support indirect tax training roll out for corporate staff.
• Involvement in project work at corporate level as new processes and procedures are introduced in the business for Indirect tax perspectives.
• Monitor indirect tax developments or changes in legislation.
• Global indirect tax & Customs advisory support.
• Liaise with Corporate Finance to achieve business targets.
• Maintain statutory registers for VAT/GST and custom.
• Preparation various reports in VAT/GST, Export and Import.
• VAT/GST ITC reconciliation and communication with respective supplier to resolve the ITC mismatch.
• Documentation of export cargo and import cargo.
Desired Candidate Profile
Chartered Accountant with 4 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Good command over excel.
Knowledge of SAP is Must.
Understanding about European local language/s will be an added advantage for applicant.
