Emerson Procurement Lead in India

Job Summary

If you are a Supply Chain Professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity role for you! This Team lead role in Procurement must ensure material availability to support business growth, profitability and service level improvement through procurement strategies.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Responsible for Overall Material availability, inventory, and cost objectives. Plan and issue Purchase Order to suppliers and coordinate direct shipments of parts to factory.

  • Communicate with suppliers for PO acknowledgement and confirmations and update the same in ERP system.

  • Follow-up, or expedite with suppliers to ensure customer requirements are met and ensure on time delivery.

  • Implement ASN process with suppliers to ensure appropriate material receipt.

  • Send delivery performance to suppliers and work with non-performing suppliers for improvement.

  • Work with suppliers to improve their flexibility to support surge and project orders.

  • Evaluate and determine best shipment mode to optimize logistic cost.

  • Maintain pricing and resolve pricing discrepancy to avoid delay in GRN and payment issues.

  • Ensure purchases are compliance with trade, import/export policy.

  • Execute exception messages in ERP to avoid excess inventory.

  • Escalating supplier delivery issues to Supply Chain Manager and Planning team and work with alternate sources and mitigation plan.

  • Reconcile open PO and Inventory for subcontract materials.

  • Work with suppliers on the Demand-Pull Inventory (DPI) to stabilize the material inflow

  • Ability to manage a team and provide guidance and be a mentor to solve day to day issues

  • Work with team individuals to setup performance goals and have periodic review to achieve targets.

  • Identify / Analyze the gaps in the current process and provide suitable solution

  • Continuously monitor the supplier performance to meet the RSDL of 95%

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of purchasing / procurement / supply chain experience

  • Excellent computer skills and a technical aptitude that includes strong data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation and reporting for supply chain organization.

  • Sound communication skill to deal with suppliers (domestic and global)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis and management.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • B.E/B Tech or any Equivalent degree

  • Knowledge in ERP systems like Fourth shift, Oracle is preferred

  • People management skills
