Principal OCI PaaS Administrator | IC4
As a Principal OCI PaaS Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing, optimizing, and securing Oracle Database environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Leveraging your expertise in PL/SQL tuning and deep knowledge of OCI, you will design, implement, and maintain high-performance database systems that meet enterprise-grade requirements.
In this role, you will also work with integration tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and SOA to deliver seamless connectivity between applications, both on-premises and in the cloud. You will lead initiatives to enhance performance, ensure operational excellence, and mentor junior team members in adopting best practices.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Administer and optimize Oracle Databases in OCI environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
Lead efforts in PL/SQL tuning and optimization to enhance system performance and scalability.
Design and implement OCI PaaS solutions, including database migrations, backup/recovery strategies, and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with integration teams to implement and maintain OIC, SOA, and API-based solutions for seamless data exchange.
Troubleshoot database and integration issues, providing timely resolution to ensure minimal downtime.
Develop and enforce database security standards, data governance policies, and compliance frameworks.
Establish best practices for database operations and integration development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Mentor IC3 and junior team members, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
About You
You are a seasoned database administrator with a proven track record of PL/SQL tuning and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) expertise. You excel at delivering high-performance database solutions and have experience with integration tools like OIC and SOA. Your ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking makes you a trusted advisor and mentor within the team.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Oracle Database administration and PaaS solutions.
Strong expertise in PL/SQL tuning and optimization.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including migration and performance tuning.
Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SOA Suite, and API-based solutions.
Proficiency in database backup/recovery, disaster recovery planning, and performance monitoring tools.
Solid understanding of web services, REST APIs, and XML technologies.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Oracle VBCS, PCS, and related OCI tools.
Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server administration and tuning.
Familiarity with DevOps tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines for database and integration deployment.
Proven ability to mentor junior team members and establish operational best practices.
Experience managing Day 2 operations for enterprise-grade database and integration systems.
