Oracle Lift Cloud Solution Senior Manager in India

Job Description

Must Have Skills:

Migration Leadership:

  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Cloud services and a proven track record of successfully migrating workloads, that may include databases, cloud-native applications, and packaged/custom applications to OCI.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all team and individual actions are aligned with the overarching business objectives. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, communication skills, presentation skills and a deep understanding of business goals.

  • Responsible for managing Lift Implementors that work with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design and implement cloud solutions for customers.

  • Establishes business objectives, metrics, and plans to ensure attainment.

  • Provides leadership on technical cloud solutions and implementation success.

  • Identifying gaps and enhancements to influence roadmaps for implementation betterment.

  • Deliver presentation demonstrations to high-level customers and at conferences and events.

  • Maintaining expertise by staying ahead on emerging technologies.

  • Managing the implementation of solutions and ensuring successful deployments by providing direction.

  • Acts as spokesperson for Oracle Cloud and a partner concern path for relationships.

  • Building high-quality, diverse teams with skills and capabilities our organization needs today and in the future.

  • Lead end-to-end migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration activities.

  • Develop migration strategies, timelines, and project plans to ensure successful migration within defined timelines and budget constraints.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of migration projects.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with migration projects and develop contingency plans as necessary.

  • Provide regular progress updates, status reports, and associated metrics to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Coaching:

  • Lead by example through active participation in migration tasks and demonstrating proficiency in any of the technologies that may include migrating databases, cloud-native applications, and packaged/custom applications to OCI.

  • Mentor and coach junior team members on best practices, methodologies, and tools related to workload migration.

  • Provide guidance and support to team members during migration projects, offering technical expertise and problem-solving assistance.

  • Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team, encouraging continuous learning and development.

Good to Have:

  • 5 years of experience in technical management in a related industry.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. Past experience writing and publishing technical documents for a diverse audience.

  • BS/MS degree required; Computer Science, Math or Engineering degree with Technical background highly desired; Advanced Degree or Cloud certifications are a plus

  • The right person will also possess 5+ years of implementation/consulting experience in the software, cloud or infrastructure industries and demonstrate an intermediate understanding of applications, server technology, cloud technologies (Infrastructure as a Service – IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), and security.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in architecting, deploying, and operating cloud solutions. Past experience working directly in customer implementations is highly desirable.

  • The successful candidate will have spent at least 5+ years of their career in customer-facing roles with a demonstrable record of earning trust as well as effective collaborations across multiple internal organizations and in interactions with partners and customers.

  • Extensive experience overseeing a team of 15-20 employees.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and under your own initiative.

  • Problem solving skills, analytical skills, and the ability to make decisions quickly.

Preferred Qualification

  • In addition to the minimum required qualification.

  • Experience gathering and understanding customer requirements.

  • Experience migrating or transforming customer solutions from on-premise to public or hybrid cloud solutions.

  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
