Working as part of the Cloud Engineering management team, you will be responsible for providing Management support to a team of Cloud Engineers, provides direction, leadership, and specialist knowledge to Cloud Solution team to assist in designing, demonstrating and deploying Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Guides team to drive Oracle Cloud customer consumption through accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services.

This role will be required to provide leadership for the OCI Cloud Engineering team in line with the Head of Cloud Engineering, Sales to define the strategy and engagement approach to address Customer and Growth objectives across the product domains. It is encouraged that the role participate/contribute in account planning sessions for the key and strategic accounts and contributes to the business development and marketing activities.

As Cloud Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Lead the pre-sales team to support the business through:

  • Supporting the business plans together with the Head of Cloud Engineering, Business Unit VP and Sales Managers

  • Supporting and handling the opportunities and account plans, battle plans, etc. by assigning the right resource to the opportunity at the right time

  • Supporting in business development, demand generation and marketing activities

  • Providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers, by assigning the right resource at the right time

  • Leading the career and motivation of the team

  • Leading Partners and Relationships

  • Support the Channels team in identifying the appropriate partners for assisting in responding to RFIs and RFPs

  • Partner enablement and training

  • Extensive experience in the BFSI sector

  • Frequent interaction with C level.

  • Opportunity and Sales Management:

  • Ensure that the team leads customer engagement e.g. RFP process, responses, POC and presentations, etc for large and strategic accounts.

  • Understanding competitive landscape and how to address these in opportunities

  • Develop and deliver high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Ability to handle objections and questions. Present and articulate high level product capability, business value, product strategic direction and overall Oracle solutions.

  • Demonstration of the Oracle value and using these effectively in competitive situations

  • Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, strategic direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.

  • Ability to use cross-LOB Oracle resources (e.g. Applications, Technology, etc.) to achieve results

  • A minimum of 15 years working experience in IT Industry in a vendor environment and ideally have experience in managing a team of IT professionals (pre-sales)

  • Ideally some knowledge of Oracle Products with considerable customer and partner engagement

  • Strong technology knowledge across Cloud, IaaS and PaaS

  • Knowledge of Platform as a service & a general knowledge of Oracle's software stack

  • Technology evangelist that can present well on the above stack to large audiences

  • A proven track record of not only people leadership but proven change management experience.

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant program

  • Significant experience in responding to proposals, providing solutions, etc.

  • An understanding of sales management functions (e.g., account planning, opportunity planning and forecasting).
