Fujitsu Programme Resource Manager in United Kingdom

Location: Basingstoke or Bracknell, Hybrid working with some travel to other FJ sites as required.

Role Description

Resource Manager lead for the Workforce planning\Resource Management team within the secure Defence and National Security sector.

Responsible for

  • Management of resource management team resources (1 x PMO and 1 x Junior Resource Manager)

  • Management of resource demand forecast based on current and predicted demand based on bid forecasts

  • Production of job specs

  • Ensuring accurate resource demand is actioned in timely manner with Demand Resource requests into the recruitment team. Resource Demand will cover the next 12 months pipeline as well as contracted demand. It will include contracted work and potential future pipeline demand through various stages of approval. In addition capacity will need to be built into the model to provide a bench for urgent/unexpected. It will include close collaboration with Capability to provide agility so that they jointly agree the size of the bench to be able to take advantage of.

  • Delivery of a strategic resourcing tool to provide real time forecasting to the senior management team

  • Delivery of monthly reporting pack to the SLT regarding forecast and resource pinch points

  • Able to build collaborative relationships with technical management team leads, programme and project management team members and the capability team

  • Management of recruitment of resources in line with resource forecast to minimise project delays

Your Experience

  • Management of a team people responsible for escalations, objective setting and management

  • Team player experienced in engaging with the Programme and Project Management Team, Service organization and Technical Team leads.

  • Experienced in assessing resourcing of current workload and upcoming projects, producing a long term resource forecast to support future recruitment.

  • Knowledge of automation or leveraging resourcing tools to support the resource demand and fulfilment process.

  • Demonstrative experience of working in a matrix organisation to drive recruitment of identified roles. Effective at mobilisation for new large projects/programmes to ensure they start on a good footing.

  • Experience in being the point of contact on a delivery programme for technical resourcing needs and to assess/resolve short term resourcing issues.

  • Past experience in leading, management, developing teams, and reducing single points of failure.

  • Experienced in end to end project cycle and methodologies to appreciate differing resource requirements. Good awareness of commercials and finance in terms of understanding impacts of resourcing/recruitment decisions.

  • Can work closely with colleagues of different roles and grades including senior management within the programme.

  • Well-developed leadership skills, excellent communication skills with multiple stakeholders, can build good relationships.
