Do you see yourself as a Gym and Wellness Manager for InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa at Natadola Bay? We are seeking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to be our Gym Manager, dedicated to providing exceptional fitness experiences for our resort guests.

Your day to day

• Designing and delivering a variety of group fitness classes that cater to all skill levels, from Zumba to Spin to HIIT and beyond

• Staying up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques in the world of group fitness

• Providing hands-on coaching and feedback to help guests perfect their form and technique

• Maintaining a positive, high-energy atmosphere

• Collaborating with the leadership team to ensure a cohesive and engaging class schedule and timetable

• Direct all aspects of the gym to cater for the needs and demands of our resort guests.

• Promote activities and programmes that will be offered to guest on a daily/weekly basis.

• Opportunity to run one on one personal training session

• Manage the cleanliness, upkeep and safety of all gym equipment.

• You will also be responsible for purchasing all gym amenities and equipment, control budgeted /non- budgeted expenses.

• Submit monthly reports to the Kids Club & Recreations Manager and the Executive Assistant Manager Guest Services.

• Recruit, Train and supervise all the gym staff whilst maintain IHG standards.

• Ensure health and safety at work act also adhered to.

• Create a positive and productive work environment, establish and maintain effective employee relations, ensure superior guest experience.

What we need from you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Your own car/transport due to flexible working

• Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury environment desirable

• A minimum of 3 years+ of experience as a certified group fitness instructor

• A passion for fitness and a natural ability to get people excited about working out

• Strong communication and leadership skills to captivate and inspire your class

• Excellent musical timing and the ability to create killer playlists that keep the energy high

• A commitment to continuing education and staying on top of the latest fitness trends

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• A winning personality and the ability to bring the fun, even on the toughest of days

• Flexibility; due to the nature of the hospitality industry. you may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Be able to work in Fiji with existing visa or permit.
