Oracle CSS - Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Cairo) in Egypt

Job Description

As a member of the Customer Success Services (CSS) organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves managing and supporting customer environments in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and provide expert assistance to ensure the optimal performance, availability, and security of customer cloud environments. Your responsibilities include resolving technical issues, performing system monitoring, and collaborating with internal teams to implement best practices. You will also engage with customers to understand their needs, provide training, and deliver exceptional customer service. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency in OCI, and a commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction. As a primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

This candidate will be responsible for various aspects of designing and provisioning Oracle Cloud services, including making architectural decisions, designing data flows, overseeing security aspects, and helping the team through the OCI processes:

  • Architecture Design: Develop and design robust and scalable Oracle Cloud solutions based on business requirements, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

  • Implementation: Lead the implementation and deployment of Oracle Cloud infrastructure, services, and applications, following best practices and standards.

  • Cloud Migration: Collaborate with teams to plan and execute the migration of on-premises systems and applications to the Oracle Cloud platform.

  • Security Assurance: Ensure the security of Oracle Cloud environments by implementing and enforcing security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize Oracle Cloud resources to enhance system performance, responsiveness, and cost efficiency.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Oracle Cloud services promptly, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders, to align Oracle Cloud solutions with organizational goals.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Oracle Cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures.

  • Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry trends, Oracle Cloud updates, and emerging technologies to recommend and implement improvements continuously.

  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training sessions to internal teams, sharing expertise in Oracle Cloud technologies and best practices

What we need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering required

  • 10+ years of experience on relevant Cloud IAAS (preferably OCI) low level architecture design and implementation experience. Should be able to work in agile approach to understand business requirements and map them to proposed solutions

  • 8+ Years of overall experience on other domains preferably system, network or database administration

  • Experience on Cloud Database Services - preferably EXACC, EXACS, DBCS

  • Enterprise Design/Architecture Framework such as TOGAF or similar

  • IaaC tools like ansible, terraform etc.

  • Proven experience in provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining Cloud (AWS or AZURE or OCI) solutions Like.

  • Cloud Compute - Creation and maintenance of instances, scaling, OS Management Services.

  • Cloud IAM and IDCS - AuthN, AuthZ, federation using SAML & Identity cloud service, Create/Manage Compartments, User Groups, Policies, dynamic user groups.

  • Cloud Networking - VCN, Subnets, Gateways (IG, NAT, DRG, Service, Local Peering), Security Lists, Route tables, Network Security Group, VPN tunnels, Fast Connect.

  • Cloud storage - Storage best practices, storage performance metrics, Object Storage, Block Volume, File Storage, Storage Migration services.

  • Cloud Security - Cloud guard Assessments, Configuration of Vault and Bastion.

  • Knowledge on Observability and Management - Monitoring, Logging and Basic concepts of Logging Analytics.

  • Ability to drive performance issues and complex architecture issues

  • Certifications: OCI Architect/Operational professional Certification, or AWS Profession Architect or Azure Cloud Architect
