Job Summary:
EMERSON Discrete Automation Controls & Software Solutions (C&S), Projects and Services team offers PLC, Hybrid & SCADA solutions that can be implemented across a broad array of market segments to provide better value to the end user. The focus of the Projects and Services team is to develop the best outcome possible for the customer, whether that outcome is getting better efficiency in daily operations, enabling cost out of non-value-added processes, or predicting problems before they occur. These solutions are developed using hardware, software, and data analytics to achieve the most reasoned and accurate solution, tailored to solve each customer’s outstanding problems.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Define sophisticated applications and modernization solutions by working closely with other Emerson Business Units including global engineering centres.
Lead engineering activities on multiple projects.
Evaluate customer specification for scope definition and generation of work statements.
Develop various design documentation including system architecture, functional design specifications in accordance with project requirements.
Produce bill of materials and coordinate materials ordering and delivery with project manager and subcontractors.
Develop PLC and HMI/SCADA applications.
Perform customer FAT and SAT.
Provide technical support to the project pursuit team.
Standardize application software and develop and improve testing procedure.
Training customers in systems operations and troubleshooting.
Perform modification works, Troubleshooting, health check and preventive maintenance on the C&S installed base in Saudi and surrounding countries as necessary.
Travel time 25%-50%
Having a knowledgeable of Control System, IPS system, SCADA/RTU, Vibration Monitoring solutions & application, basic solutions & application presentation, Capabilities for creating vision solution selling effectively at high levels in customer organization. Build & manage regional funnel optimally.
Understanding regional competitor and competitor’s product and application, responsibility of collecting market trends and specific customer requirement and feedback to product marketing team timely. Provide input regarding the marketplace and product competitiveness.
Who you are?
Experience with PLCs (PPS, Rx3i/PAC8000/ 90-30/ 90-70/ GMR) systems strongly preferred.
Experience in Life Sciences, Food & Beverage Industries preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of Industrial IOT, Industry 4.0 and an interest in manufacturing automation
Experience in Cybersecurity implementation in PLC/SCADA systems.
Ability to travel as required and to work with customers and establish appropriate solutions and present these solutions to customer leadership.
Proven ability to think out of the box and across separate businesses
For this Role, You Will Need:
3 -5 years’ experience in designing and implementing PLC control system solutions.
Experience with On-site implementation, testing and commissioning.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree from an accredited University or College
