Oracle Senior/Principal Frontend Developer OCI Studio in the Cloud in Czech Republic
Job Description
The team is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of a new set of cloud services focused specifically on the digital media production industry. Product areas include virtual animation workstation service, digital asset management, high-performance storage, render farm as a service, license management, and production pipeline management services.
This is an opportunity to help build a competitive offering from the ground up and extend the reach of OCI to address greenfield opportunities in the media and entertainment industry. You will work with a talented group of software engineers, designing scalable, highly available cloud services in a world-class cloud development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop optimized, scalable, and responsive web applications using modern frontend technologies.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve performance and usability.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain cutting-edge.
Collaborate with other engineers, architects, managers, and different Oracle teams to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, deliver features and launch new cloud services.
Participate on UI/UX design and review ] of new features.
Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies.
Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that may dent the team’s ability to execute.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
At least 3 years of software engineering work experience.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ES6-ESNext)/TypeScript.
Hands-on experience in developing user-friendly frontend solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with at least one of the modern frontend frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.
Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or React Testing Library.
Experience with frontend build tools and package managers (e.g. Webpack, npm, Yarn).
Experience with REST API consumption to integrate frontend with backend.
Experience with versioning of code in Git.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have Qualifications:
Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and (responsive) design principles.
Experience with UX designing and prototyping UI in modern tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
Experience with Next.js and/or TailwindCSS.
Experience with REST API development.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Previous experience in utilizing public cloud services from the current major providers (such as Oracle, Azure, AWS, etc.) in developing complex software products.
Domain knowledge and experience with workflows and pipelines for media production: digital asset management and namespaces, familiarity with 3D frameworks, universal scene description, scene graphs, layers and models, 3D data packaging, rendering workflows, image composition, tools used in the workflow by artists, engineers, editors, and content creators is a plus.
