Red Hat Senior Software Maintenance Engineer - Red Hat Single Sign-On in Czech Republic

The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Software Maintenance Engineer to join us. In this role, you will provide important technical assistance to ensure that our highly valued customers get the most out of our solutions. This position extends well beyond solutions support, as you will take on the role of a trusted partner to our enterprise customers by offering developer-to-developer assistance for Red Hat Application Services open-source middleware software. As a Software Maintenance Engineer, you will provide highly technical solutions to support technical requests. Additionally, you will provide Red Hat Application Services updates, and contribute ideas through participation in an open and collaborative team environment. What will you do:

  • Diagnose problems, troubleshoot the issues, and develop solutions to technical issues

  • Provide customers with a unique experience and amaze them with the quality of Red Hat support

  • Engage and collaborate with in-house engineers and developers around the world to promote creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction

  • Contribute to the global Red Hat knowledge management system by writing and publishing blog posts, whitepapers, and knowledge-base articles that deliver technical knowledge to our customers and the community

  • Collaborate with your colleagues on various topics; be a respected member of the global team

  • Constantly work on your skills and keep up with the latest technology trends

  • Contribute to the open-source community and to product code, if you wish to

What will you bring:

  • Knowledge of SSO technologies including SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, and OpenID Connect

  • Experience with application server solutions like JBoss, Wildfly, or any other application WebServer

  • Knowledge of LDAP servers like Active Directory, Red Hat Directory Server, or any LDAP server

  • Experience with public key infrastructure (PKI)

  • Familiarity with Java development, JDK utility key tool or OpenSSL, and Java security technologies

  • Experience with technologies like Docker, containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills; passion for problem-solving and investigation

  • Ability to work with conflicting priorities, take initiative, and maintain a customer-centric focus

  • Ability and willingness to learn new open-source middleware technologies

  • Clear and effective English communication skills and ability to communicate courteously and effectively with customers, third-party vendors, and Red Hat associates

  • Experience in Customer Support or in consulting

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with identity and access management solutions like Keycloak (RH-SSO) or any certified OpenID connect providers

  • Experience with the JEE platform or Quarkus Framework and application server technologies like Web Services, Servlets, JavaServer Pages (JSP), Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Hibernate, Java Message Service (JMS), JEE Security, etc.
