Oracle Principal Software Engineer in Czech Republic

Job Description

Overview

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is growing at a significant rate – doubling in capacity every year which is driving Oracle’s revenue growth. In 2024, OCI was named as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure.

The Hardware Provisioning organization within OCI is re-architecting the software release service. This service provides the organization with the capability to build, test and release Software/Firmware Bundles directly into OCI SW Repository. This infrastructure supports the needs of the multiple stakeholder organizations in the OCI ecosystem.

The Hardware Provisioning organization is also re-architecting the provisioning layer so we can continue to scale our service to meet the demands of our exponential growth.

We are seeking a strong Principal Software Engineer who can contribute to the design, development and support of a robust, reliable and secure System Software stack for the modern Cloud environment and support fleet operations. Expertise in C/C++, Python System Programming, and Linux is highly desired. Knowledge of Database, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Web development is a plus.

Our team of highly capable Software Engineers spans multiple time zones and works in a DevOps mode to deliver and support solutions that are core to Oracle's revenue growth.

Join the Team

The Hardware Provisioning organization delivers the System Software stack that manages and provisions the Server Infrastructure in OCI.

When a customer relinquishes a server in Oracle Cloud, that server must be securely re-provisioned with trusted firmware in all hardware components – Network, Storage, GPUs, and BMC. Further, our tools are also used by our factories when manufacturing servers to ensure they are provisioned with trusted firmware.

Join our dynamic team as a Principal Software Engineer and work on exciting, enterprise-grade Cloud Management products. Our unique team works on everything from user level applications and interfaces to low-level hardware interfaces and everything in between. We control the full software life cycle from architecture to release. Help shape the Cloud Management offerings for Oracle's Cloud Servers while working with some of the most talented and experienced software developers in the industry.

Specifically, you will contribute your talents and skills towards the design & development of a secure Cloud Infrastructure software release service that is essential for Software/Firmware Bundles delivery into OCI SW Repository.

You will also contribute towards the design & development of secure Cloud Management software using industry standard System, Network and Storage Management protocols that are the foundation of Oracle's Cloud offering.

Our product development environment includes C/C++, Python, Oracle Autonomous Database, Containerized Services and Linux.

The successful candidate must possess strong English communication skills and will be expected to use these skills to communicate with a geographically diverse team across many technology consumers.
