GE Aerospace Time & Attendance Operations Leader in China

Job Description Summary

This role is responsible defining and delivering a Time and Attendance strategic plan identified in the Global Pay & Time strategy. It will involve developing a deep understanding of the current GE Aerospace Time & Attendance (T&A) operational delivery across the region (EMEA or APAC) and building a plan to integrate these operations further into GE Aerospace People Operations. The role will own completion of this strategic plan as well as identifying and establishing improvement opportunities across the process.

In detail, this role will be responsible for leading all aspects of the planning and implementing of a large-scale transition effort and for providing expert support and service delivery for regional time & attendance programs.

Viewed as a time & attendance expert you will lead the planning for compliant and efficient and time & attendance processes and solutions in partnership with vendors and cross business teams across various countries in the region. As an expert, you will be responsible for sharing and recommending approaches and best practices toward strategy of the services. Key to success in the role will be using expertise to influence a range of stakeholders and other partners to ensure delivery of quality processes and strategic priorities.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leads Regional Time & Attendance Service transition planning and serves as Aerospace business voice for quality delivery of multiple time & attendance services for various countries in the region. Leads the organizational effort for the Aerospace business during the transition, defining immediate and future support needs, service models and operational frameworks. Manages transitional T&A queries from vendor, broader Aerospace People Operations team, employees, managers and HRM's in a timely, and professional manner. Manages service delivery metrics in relation to Time & Attendance service delivery.

  • Facilitates the integration of T&A operational delivery into the broader Aerospace Payroll & Time team

  • Oversees the management transition of documentation and communication of regional T&A programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Partners across GE Aerospace People Operations to understand T&A Product development and supports projects to improve operational and technical delivery, including potentially process automation and/or system harmonization

  • Seeks and recommends improvement opportunities across operations, utilizing Lean principles

  • Proactively reviews market practices and trends in the operational delivery of T&A solutions across peer organizations, looking to seek and share best practices.

  • Monitors regional markets for regulatory and local practice changes in labor law which may affect T&A processes.

  • Oversees and reviews preparation of reconciliation and reports for business and regulator purposes

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires significant experience in the Human Resources, Payroll and Time & Attendance Service Delivery. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise with T&A and payroll systems

  • Experience with time and attendance systems ideally in manufacturing environments

  • Skilled in project management

  • Demonstrated leadership with large global teams
