IHG IT Coordinator in Switzerland

Your day-to-day

  • Provides technical and logistical support to all hotel departments (Support Level 1/2).

  • Ensures the operation of the hotel's computer equipment and programs.

  • Actively participates in the commissioning of new programs and/or systems with his/her superior.

  • Ensures the maintenance and control of computer systems.

  • Maintains an adequate inventory of replacement equipment.

  • Manages system configurations, programs and files.

  • Maintains a log of all system problems, malfunctions and errors and reports them to his/her supervisor.

  • Checks that the security of computers and servers (antivirus, firewall, WSUS) is up to date.

  • Investigates and reports program problems to vendors and the regional office.

  • Installs and tests company approved programs on hotel systems.

  • Establishes test and control documentation for systems.

  • Maintains complete technical and user documentation of systems.

  • Prepares a weekly activity report and submits it to his/her superior.

  • Keeps abreast of new techniques to improve the performance and efficiency of systems.

  • Multi-task with the telecommunications department.

  • Acts as replacement for the HRD in case of absence or need.

  • Takes part in the implementation of various projects in hotels.

  • May be assigned other tasks or projects by the hotel management and/or supervisors on an exceptional basis.

  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with the other departments.

  • Conveys the right values and the good behaviors in his service as well as towards his colleagues and his hierarchy.

  • Informs the Management Team of any incident or problem that occurs during work hours, particularly those he is not able to solve or whose importance justifies it, whether it concerns work-related issues or employee-related problems.

  • Applies procedures and policies within the hotel and all new procedures according to the management orders and submits new propositions to the Management in order to improve the department efficiency.

  • Applies the internal procedures in terms of health, hygiene and safety.

  • Applies and enforces environmental good practices in his department, particularly as part of the Green Globe certification (waste sorting, black & white printing, paperless meeting, etc.).

  • May exceptionally perform other duties at the request of his hierarchy.

What we need from you

Higher Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and Engineering Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in in a similar position.

Fluent in French and English.
