Graebel is searching for an experienced Sr Business Analyst with a strong emphasis on requirements gathering and analysis, business process development, data mapping, report development and cross-team coordination to help guide our strategic initiatives. From identifying and documenting current and future business processes to gathering requirements to mapping data across systems. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience with typical business analysis activities as part of a collaborative team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive identification of detailed requirements across business units and develop detailed requirements documentation and/or user-stories and acceptance criteria for current and future business needs

  • Determine and develop detailed complex business processes and requirements for new and existing systems to ensure maximum business value

  • Facilitate discussions and issue resolution for complex cross-team requirements and processes

  • Identify and develop sample business reports, including high-level data analysis and evaluation

  • Partner with testing leads to develop user acceptance testing criteria for systems enhancements, new builds and changes as needed

  • Partner with stakeholder teams across business units to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently across all levels

  • Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation

  • Continual communication with Project Manager/Scrummaster on risks, decisions and action items generated from project meetings

  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements

  • Schedule meetings with relevant stakeholders and facilitate positive, efficient, and collaborative outcomes from those meetings

  • Document and communicate meeting notes, action items, risks and decisions

  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with internal and external partners for optimized collaboration - address questions/concerns with supporting documentation and recommendations

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Required Skills

  • Significant practical experience developing business processes and generating process documentation

  • Significant practical experience gathering complex business requirements across teams

  • Proven data analysis and analytical abilities

  • Strong ability to manage several concurrent efforts in a fast-moving, and dynamic environment

  • Comfortable with quickly changing direction as needed

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to determine and act upon next possible steps

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate project discussions into actionable insights

  • Excellent team member who works best as part of collaborative teams

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Visio or similar business process software

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications, IT or Computer Science

  • 8+ years of proven experience in a Business Analysis position with a strong emphasis in Requirements Gathering/Analysis, business process and data analysis

  • 8+ years of experience working with Software Development projects

  • Experienced with both Agile and Waterfall software development methodology and tools

  • Relocation and/or Servicengine experience strongly preferred

As a testament to our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, our salary bands are transparent both internally and as a part of our external recruitment process. The targets for this role are dependent on market/ geographic location and range from $120,000 to $170,000 CAD.
