Red Hat Telco Architect: LATAM Services Telco Practice in Brazil
Red Hat is seeking a TELCO Architect specialized in Telecommunications industry, NFV and 5G core technology to join us in Brazil. The primary responsibility of the Telecommunications Architect is to passionately drive the adoption of Red Hat's 5G/RAN platform solutions in our key telecommunications service provider customers. Through a series of interactions both in-person and remote the Telecommunications Architect will win the trust and confidence of their customer’s engineering, development and operations teams by aligning their requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of Red Hat’s solution. The Telecommunications Architect will have thorough working knowledge and hands-on experience with kubernetes and OpenStack based cloud infrastructures to support applications providing virtualized and containerized network functions (VNF/CNF) to the telecommunications industry. Successful candidates will bring a wealth of industry experience and domain expertise to play a leading role in the design and project delivery of these business critical solutions, and therefore will need a strong working knowledge of Agile project methodologies, as well as DevOps models and technologies.
The Telecommunications Architect will also play a critical role in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat’s product business units, product engineering, support, consulting, and sales to meet the needs of these demanding customers. He/She will act as a customer advocate with these organizations to architect the right solutions and to ensure that those solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way.
What you will do
Winning the confidence of our strategic customer through the successful delivery of discovery, analysis and design workshops that shape and influence the customer’s use cases and architecture design decisions to align with the Red Hat solution.
Providing ongoing technical leadership to a dedicated team of consultants responsible for evolving and continuously improving the customer’s cloud network platform(s)
Designing and scoping delivery projects as well as leading consulting teams through successful customer pilot and production deployments.
The designing, creating and delivering technical content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service) and support our NFV solutions at scale.
Working closely with product business units, product engineering, consulting, support, and sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat’s products.
Contributing to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat’s services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk.
Demonstrate thought leadership in the Telecommunications community by producing world-class white papers, webinars, etc. and speaking at industry leading conferences.
What you will bring
LATAM role: Professional level of English, Spanish and Portuguese
Willingness to visit client locations
Degree in Computer science, Telecommunications or other network-related Engineering, or equivalent Industry certification
Specific knowledge in NFV/SDN area
Specific knowledge in Mobile (5G, 4G, 3G, 2G) and/or Fixed networks (network architectures, service models, service provisioning)
6+ years of Consulting experience, preferably in the Telecommunications/Enterprise IT industry
Knowledge of one or more Communications Service Provider markets.
Familiarity with technologies like OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, Open VSwitch, etc.
Experience interacting with partners and navigating the complexities of integration
Specific knowledge in NFV/SDN area (benefits, technologies, key vendors, use cases).
Understanding of advanced networking concepts (data center and wide area networking, tunneling technologies and overlay networking, security policies, topology discovery, path computation)
Proven track record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior Telecommunications network and business executives.
The ability to self-study and quickly learn and put into practice new topics
Demonstrated passion for Open Source, software, tooling, and automation.
Proven ability to work seamlessly with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers.
Strong background in consultative customer engagements with either a major systems integrator, a network equipment provider, or a Telecommunications services provider.
Deep understanding of ETSI NFV architecture and the Telecommunications main use-cases (vCPE, vEPC, vCDN, vIMS, vRAN, etc)
