Oracle Financial Analyst in Australia

Description What You’ll Do

As a member of Oracle APAC GBF’s finance organization, you will manage the finance team and drive key cross functional business practices. You will be able to:

  • Provide all aspects of financial support for planning and control

  • Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results

  • Prepare of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc. on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis

  • Leverage analytical tools such as Oracle Analytics to prepare, analyse and present data to business in a clear & simple manner

  • Perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level; supervise product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed

  • Participate in cross functional programs and projects

Required Skills/Experience What You’ll Bring

  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

  • Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.

  • The role needs a good mix of commercial acumen and a proven background in analytical tools (such as Oracle Analytics).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills needed.

  • Ability to partner across functions.

  • 8 years relevant work experience.

  • BS/BA in Accounting/Finance preferred.

  • CPA/MBA desired.

Additional details:

  • Serve as finance support to Sales Management team

  • Responsible for budgeting and planning activities.

  • Perform quarter-end close activities – finalization of Bookings, revenue tracking and review of financial results

  • Reviews quarter-end Financial Review Pack prepared by India FP&A team before release to Business Partner.

  • Responsible for validation and submission of sales compensation pool plans.

  • Active participation in global projects and drive process change across APAC

  • Minimum 8 years of Financial Planning and Analysis.

  • Relevant experience from IT industry is preferred

  • Positive attitude and strong team orientation.
