ABOUT THE ROLE
The Field Service Engineer will perform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation, commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advanced Honeywell Quality Control Systems. Their time will be spent validating customer requests and developing, maintaining, and improving customer relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Periodic communication with customers regarding technical and administrative issues
Performing preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on the Honeywell Quality Control Systems and serving as a customer contact for service-related issues/enquiries
Configuring and maintaining Honeywell scanners and systems
Solving problems related to Honeywell hardware and software
Performing sensor verification and calibration
Evaluating and modifying CD/MD control performance with the use of optimization tools
Migrating legacy Honeywell Quality Control Systems to Honeywell’s newest technology offering
Understanding customer key processes and economic drivers to translate those into business opportunities while providing timely research and recommendations
Assisting Sales during sales pursuits and being the face of Honeywell to end-users and competitors
Using the technical expertise of Honeywell solutions and product offerings to improve the customer experience
Complete of 18-month Honeywell Training & Certification Program while performing normal job duties
Be available for off hour “Emergency On-Call” as needed.
Depending on the service requirements for a particular customer or region, this position may require travel
Relocation support may be provided
MUST HAVE
High School Diploma
2 years of professional experience in an engineering or technical field in the papermill industry
Valid driver's license
Available to regional travel when required
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to walk and stand 8 hours per day
1 year of experience using Basic Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications
Be able to perform frequent climbing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping
Commitment to obtain and maintain L3 CEAT certification within 18 months of hire (Training is given to achieve this)

Associates Degree in Industrial Engineering or Technology
Ability to work safely within the Honeywell/Customer HSE requirements.
Experience with industrial process control field instrumentation
Networking experience
Previous experience working in a Field Service Technician position
Previous technical/installation experience
Previous customer service experience
Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex system or process problems
