Chenega Corporation Lead Computer Depot Technician in Chesapeake, Virginia

Chenega Professional & Technical Services, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services ’ company, is looking for a Lead Computer Depot Technician . The Lead Computer Depot Technician will be an integral part of our remote contact center operations, supporting over 300 customer service representatives utilizing Dell Optiplex 3000 thin clients with WinIOT 2.x. This role involves a dynamic range of responsibilities, including the configuration, provisioning, shipping, and remote management of hardware units. Reporting directly to the Customer Support Program Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate with OEM vendors and technology experts across various companies. The Lead Computer Depot Technician will be the primary source of internal technical support for field representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage a large fleet of thin clients for remote workers, ensuring seamless integration with Azure Virtual Desktop and AWS Connect.

  • Regularly lift, carry, and move computer equipment, demonstrating the ability to handle physical demands of the role.

  • Apply expert knowledge of Wyse Management Suite for administration purposes.

  • Deploy and manage contact center equipment such as softphones, wireless headsets, web cameras, and multiple monitors across multiple timezones.

  • Maintain high standards of information security and personal privacy in compliance with US Department of Defense regulations.

  • Provide customer support to customer service representatives in the use of the provided equipment.

  • Create and maintain job aids for end users.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing large fleets of computer hardware and contact center equipment.

  • Strong networking skills and proficiency in application deployment.

  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA Network+ Certifications or formal training related to Wyse Management Suite platform preferred.

  • Previous experience in a similar role, meeting DoD information security and personal privacy standards.

  • A track record of success in similar roles and be prepared to meet the challenges of a fast-paced, high-demand IT environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and capable of working creatively within a collaborative environment.

  • A hands-on approach and a strong technical background in computer hardware management.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $60,000.00/Yr. Up to USD $70,000.00/Yr.
