Kelly Services Forklift Operator in Virginia Beach, Virginia
Job Specifications:
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Pay Rate: $19/hr
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts to transport materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines.
Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe handling of goods and minimizing damage.
Perform daily safety checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Keep accurate records of inventory movements and assist with stock counts.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including packaging and sorting.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, specifically operating forklifts.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Dexterity to handle small tools and components.
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods.
Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO, and Environmental Standards.
