Seeking an Electronic Subject Matter Expert (SME) with experience of the basic fundamentals of Alternating Current (AC)/ Direct Current (DC) circuits as it pertains to the installation of electronic equipment. This position will support teams performing installs, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and the tests of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices at both Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS) locations. The candidate will apply their technical knowledge to assist junior team members with the completion of assigned tasking.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Support team members and perform required integration or installation of systems equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and use of test equipment as required

• Interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner

• Train junior employees on troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and operating pumps which resulted in an increase in production

• Troubleshoot field equipment failures, documentation of maintenance and troubleshooting procedures

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of electronic equipment

• Work and perform at government and contractor facilities where awareness is critical and the highest level of safety and caution must be exercised to eliminate risk.

• Work alongside engineers to design, build and test solutions to a variety of technical problems

• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and manuals related to engineering projects

• Analyze operations and offering suggestions for improvement.

• Contact personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work

• Perform research, write, edit, and revise Navy technical documents

• Perform field validations of various watercraft and equipment

• Perform work between customer sites, shore sites, and/or on ships.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in related technical/electrical field and 4 years of experience or equivalent education and years of experience in lieu of degree

• Technical experience with AC/DC circuits

• Experience with High Frequency (HF)/Very High Frequency (VHF)/Ultra High Frequency (UHF) installation/troubleshooting

• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) Connectors

• Experience with reading and comprehending preventive maintenance documents and procedures

• Proficient with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).

• Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS (ex. UAE, Bahrain, Japan, Spain, Guam, Alaska)

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with JIRA/Confluence

• NAVSEA Certified in Fiber Optic Termination

• Tower Climber Certified

• Demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team

• Multitask efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail

• Ability to work alone with little supervision, receiving technical guidance from project managers.

• Organized and able to work independently and with others

• Education/Training in Electronics to include installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Building/Repairing Connectors .

Security Clearance:

• Must be US Citizen and Active Secret Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across and/or around a customer site.

• Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder for installation, repair, and/or troubleshooting.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

• Up to 50% travel required or as needed.
