Job Title: Highway Construction Inspector NICET Level II or III

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in highway construction, specifically in concrete and asphalt paving, and hold the necessary certifications to maintain quality and safety standards on site. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in highway or infrastructure inspection or related construction roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on highway construction projects to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

• Perform concrete and asphalt testing to maintain quality control.

• Utilize inspection equipment to assess construction quality and safety.

• Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and communicate them effectively to the project team.

• Ensure adherence to NJDOT, PADOT, and other relevant construction standards.

• Monitor environmental compliance on construction sites.

• Collaborate with civil engineers and construction managers to address any issues that arise during construction.

Essential Skills

• NICET level II certification in Construction or Highway Materials, or a related field.

• Ability to commute to NJ.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in highway or infrastructure inspection or related construction roles.

• Strong knowledge of concrete and asphalt paving techniques.

• Proficiency in using construction inspection equipment.

• Familiarity with NJDOT, PADOT, and other relevant construction standards.

• Experience in environmental fieldwork related to construction.

• Knowledge of civil construction and engineering principles.

• Experience in roadway construction and asphalt testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with construction management.

• Knowledge of concrete testing procedures.

• Understanding of civil engineering practices.

Work Environment

Must be able to work all hours, including during the day, overnight, and in inclement weather. Schedules may change based on project needs.
