Description

We are seeking a Paralegal to join our law firm client in Tyson's Corner, Virginia. This is a permanent/full time position.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with various stages of litigation, ensuring all legal procedures are followed accurately

• Process and draft legal documents, including pleadings and briefs

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation

• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for depositions, ensuring all necessary documents and materials are ready

• Facilitate efficient discovery processes, managing and organizing all relevant information and documents

• Actively participate in case management, keeping track of case progression and updating records as needed

• Liaise with clients, legal professionals, and court officials as necessary

• Ensure client confidentiality is maintained at all times

• Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations that may impact case outcomes

• Use litigation skills to assist attorneys in preparing for and during trials.

Requirements

• Current or prior experience in a law firm

• Proficiency in litigation and legal research tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated understanding of legal terminology and principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Knowledge of filing systems, procedures, and legal documents

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
