Description:
To take an advanced approach with research and discovery across the analytics landscape, developing a deeper appreciation of our members' Open Banking needs while streamlining our response to their needs based on analytics and measurable results. Works independently with limited guidance within team on complex business and technical analysis. Works cross-functionally to conduct research on new features, defines product requirements using Agile processes, performs deep analysis to uncover new and refined product opportunities, formulates innovative solutions that deliver value, and creates exceptional Open Banking experiences for members.
Overview:
This role will support Navy Federal's Open Banking Data Access Channel that is used by Third Party Data Aggregators to securely share member's financial data.
This role will work directly with the project's business and technical Agile teams to support the development of the product APIs including refining user stories, backlog prioritization, and bug fixes/tracking.
This role will support onboarding, migration, and operational support for multiple approved third parties as they adopt thousands of fintechs to the platform.
This role will support the member experience for members migrating from screen scraping to the Open Banking API's through the consent management platform.
This role will create and manage complex business, technical, and operational analysis and supporting documentation.
Responsibilities:
Gathers requirements to develop user stories that capture the member and product needs
Analyzes internal and external insights, data, and marketplace trends to focus on creating value for members
Research, identify and analyze the needs and experiences of our members, who are the purchasers and users of our financial products
Perform advanced market analysis across the financial landscape including emerging trends in member needs to identify challenges and opportunities
Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and business units across the organization
Regularly engage and contribute to the maturity and vision of the product
Conduct and facilitate by defining and validating the Definition of Done
Proactively sizes business opportunities and potential improvements
Engages regularly in product team decision making, being able to push back and propose initiatives based in data
Communicate and present findings to leadership and the broader organization, influencing upwards and laterally to drive organizational change and alignment
Package strategic and analytical insights into clear, concise and “executive-ready” presentations
Serve as an agent of change for the open banking product team, looking for new ways to solve problems for members and collaborate as a team
Know the key metrics to be measured and how to measure it
Produce data-driven analysis using enterprise tools to substantiate hypotheses
Conduct competitive reviews and benchmarking
Assist with integrating usability studies, user research, and market analysis into product requirements
Analyze product usage and other empirical data and how that relates to key member needs to make recommendations regarding product prioritization
As a member of the cross functional team, apply Agile principles to improve the product and product team continuously incrementally
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Advanced analytical and research skills along with experience working with data in a highly analytic environment
Working knowledge of analytics, user experience design and business impact
Business acumen with ability to leverage expertise with credibility and impact
Effective skill delivering effective presentations to groups of various sizes
Experience analyzing user experience and cost, to size impact and opportunities
Strong multi-tasking and the ability to meet deadlines
amiliar with Agile methodologies/principles (Scrum, XP, Lean etc.)
Exposure to working in an agile environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization
Maintain skills up to date with industry standards
Continuous learning with respect to current trends, practices, regulations, and technology in the financial services industry
Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Strategy or related field
Background in Information Technology or Information Security
Experience supporting financial products in a financial institution
Experience supporting API applications and related connectivity
Experience supporting Oauth technology and the bearer token lifecycle
Operational experience supporting a data sharing application with external parties
Knowledge of Dodd-Frank Section 1033 relating to data sharing
Working knowledge of credit union operations/processes and procedures a plus
Previous experience with Financial Data Exchange a plus
Working knowledge of Open Banking in a Data Provider environment highly desired
