Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager to work in Vienna, Virginia. This role is crucial within our organization, as you will be tasked with overseeing the financial and accounting activities. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that requires quick decision-making and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end closing process and ensure its accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

• Conduct regular balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Manage bank account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.

• Oversee the recording and maintenance of prepaid expenses and accruals.

• Ensure compliance with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online for various accounting tasks and transactions.

• Actively participate in the financial reporting process, including the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of transactions, ensuring compliance with established internal controls and procedures.

• Provide leadership and support to the accounting team, fostering an environment of learning and growth. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting manager role or similar position.

• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is essential.

• Experience in month-end close processes is required.

• Must be adept at creating and managing journal entries.

• Proficiency in balance sheet account reconciliation is necessary.

• Experience in bank account reconciliation is a must.

• Knowledge and experience in handling prepaid expenses and accruals is necessary.

• Familiarity with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance and procedures is required.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

• CPA or relevant certification would be considered an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.

• High level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and analytically.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
