Your Opportunity
As a Civil EIT/ Civil Technician or Technologist on our Cariboo Road Recovery Projects (CRRP) team, this position will have a primarily administrative focus while also holding some technical responsibilities. Under the general direction of Owners Engineer (OE) Technical Lead, this role will assist and execute complex Disaster Financial Assistance Arrangements (DFAA) administrative and technical task.
Reporting to the OE Technical Lead, this position is responsible for compiling associated back up engineering reports and crafting business cases on multiple projects.
To accomplish this, the Engineering Administrator will develop a close relationship with designated Project Manager and undertakes a disciplined approach to develop a keen understanding of the project scope including engineering and financial reporting.
Your Key Responsibilities
Coordination with OE Leadership with DFAA submission schedules while identifying critical path pinch points.
Engaging with Project Managers to understand the engineering project and past, current and future project needs.
Creating and owning a detailed DFAA submission schedule, identifying schedule constrictions and deadlines.
Provide support and implementation of DFAA Applications.
Problem management [i.e., problem identification, management, and resolution].
Writing detailed business cases and project engineering reports with input from various team members.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comprehension in understanding and reading detailed engineering drawings and reports.
Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Excellent team player demonstrated by being held accountable to other team members while also holding other team members to their tasks.
Self-starter with ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thinking.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with transportation concentration.
Licensed as an EIT or P. Eng. with EGBC.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field. A/E industry experience in project reporting considered an asset.
Experience eliciting and documenting high-level and detailed requirements, including use cases.
Understanding and experience working with agile projects practices would be a significant asset.
Have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.

Salary Range(s):
- Lower Mainland$65,300/BC Other Areas $61,600 - Lower Mainland $91,400/BC Other Areas $86,200 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
